Description (CMS Description)
Forehead or chest ornament. Formed of a disc of tridacna shell, pierced in its centre, to which a disc of turtle shell carved in openwork is fastened with a twisted cotton string. Heavy compared to other similar ornaments. The disc of turtle shell is heavily chipped in many different places.
