The original description for 1920.590 from the accession register and catalogue card (dating from 1920) referred to a bamboo box, cover and mixer. No spatula (mixer) was found with this object. However, 1920.589 did contain a spatula despite the register entry not mentioning it. It is possible that 1920.589 and 1920.590 got mixed up when they were marked.

Description (Physical description)
Bamboo lime container. Two wooden discs covered with parinarium paste act as base and top for the box and lid. The container is incised with geometric patterns and naturalistic leaves coloured black. It can be opened, and contains lime and a lime stick or spatula made from bird bone and wood.
