Donated by Laureen Holliman, daughter of finder Brian Denson, who died 14 August 2001. Note written by Mary D. 'Craster c.1984 reads "Two (see also 2004.193) very nice Neolithic axe-heads dating from about 3000 B.C. - so nothing to do with the Roman site. Both would have had wooden handles. The polished one is stone from outside our area - almost certainly Great Langdale in Cumbria."
