Animal trapping; Girth strap - Woven animal trapping, possibly a girth strap, made of flax or cotton. Dense weave. Two loops at top, through which is threaded a broken loop. Frayed or cut at other end.

Examined by Pamela Rose, Austrian Institute, Cairo who identified it as a possible animal trapping due to the density of weave. It is assumed this object came into the Museum along with other Egyptian artefacts from the Faculty of Oriental Studies. A small, green label with '800' on it was found with the object.
