Context (Acquisition Details)
Material excavated by Addyman in the 1960s and only recently donated to the Museum, when it was catalogued in bulk records. The finds from the Late Saxon settlement (see PCAS vol. 64) and those late Medieval and Post Medieval finds from a fishpond and 18th century house (see Post-Medieval Archaeology vol. 6) may sometimes share a single record, which will ultimately need to be split further.

51 bags filled mostly with pottery sherds, both unglazed, glazed and some decorated, and a few glass fragments.

Description (Physical description)
Fifty-one bags sherds, pipe stems and glass fragments. Consisting of rim, body and base sherds. Fabrics include St Neots ware, samian ware, Thetford ware Huntingdonshire ware and Ely ware. Glazed sherds present and also some with painted decoration.
