Context (Acquisition Details)
Material excavated by Addyman in the 1960s and only recently donated to the Museum, when it was catalogued in bulk records. The finds from the Late Saxon settlement (see PCAS vol. 64) and those late Medieval and Post Medieval finds from a fishpond and 18th century house (see Post-Medieval Archaeology vol. 6) may sometimes share a single record, which will ultimately need to be split further.

42 bags of unglazed pottery and three bags containing glazed pottery, glass, and bone. There are 99 pieces of glazed pottery, four pieces of bone and 40 pieces of glass. 11 bags contain tile. In addition to this there are three pieces of worked stone, 10 pipestem fragments, one bronze disc, two pieces of mortar, one piece of charcoal, two iron nail fragments and one animal tooth.
