Context (Analysis)
Although Turtle Bay is not listed in Geoffrey Bushnell's unpublished report of his 1955 survey and excavations in Tobago (see archive FR4/1/4 for text, FR4/1/2 for plates), Arie Boomert lists the site of 'Turtle Beach 2' [TOB-25] in his inventory of sites on Tobago as being discovered by Bushnell in 1955 (2000. Trinidad, Tobago and the Lower Orinoco Interaction Sphere: An Archaeological/Ethnohistorical Study. Alkmaar: Cairi Publications. p. 509). It may be that this site is actually from Turtle Beach and it was collected and donated by Bushnell; until this can be confirmed, he has been tentatively added as Source and Turtle Beach tentatively added to the Place field.
