Cap or skullcap made from beads. Spiral of black beads attached to a foundation of cord and human hair; beads appear to be made from black seeds; coated with red earth or ochre. Form has collapsed on itself, sections missing and several beads detached but present.

The records for the five headdresses listed together in the Accession Register as E 1907.570-574 and in the Annual Report as AR 1908.728-732 have become entangled with one another. Since the objects are labelled with secure historic labels, the decision was taken to follow the numbering on these, and treat the numbers on the catalogue cards as incorrect.
