'Pacific totem basket', a three-legged woven basketry artwork made from split leaves of harakeke (New Zealand flax or Phormium tenax) dyed with chemical dyes and woven into a cylinder that is mounted onto a three-legged frame made of dowelling rods. The basketry cylinder is tied to the frame with copper wire. Pieces of paua (Haliotis) shell ornament some of these joins.
