Description

Zoomorphic adorno sherd of thick, buff ware. Spherical face, from which semi-spherical ears project, decorated with horizontal slits; below are eyes marked my scored circles and deep perforations for the eyes; with a nose projecting with two pierced nostrils, partly chipped. Below is a large round projection, possibly a mouth or a base to help the vessel stay upright, chipped. A thick circular collar helps connect the head to the vessel, of which part of a curved wall and flat base is present.
