Small shell adze or axe made from a queen conch (strombus gigas). Roughly triangular in plan and oval in cross-section. Curved cutting edge, bevelled on lower face, tapering to a pointed butt end. Surface smoothed.

Context (Analysis)
Ronald Taylor, former Director of the Barbados Museum, says that the smaller, petaloid shell tools are early (Saladoid-Barrancoid, pre-650 A.D.) at the Greenland site, while the large, eared ones are late (Suazoid - post 1100 or so).
