Description (Physical description)
Very flat, similar to Z 13119, Z 12864B and Z 12837. Numerous circular indentations stamped or imprinted (or possibly the outer edges are raised to create a relief) onto the body of the bracelet, delicately and intricately done. Bracelet consists of four segments, four triangles formed by indentations/ serrations in outer circle of the brass. Context (Acquisition Details)
Collected by Northcote W. Thomas in Edo State, Okpe town. The inhabitants belong to the Edo ethnic group, and also identify themselves further as Okpe people. The language they speak is also referred to as Okpe. See Blench, R. M., 1995. The Work of N.W. Thomas as Government Anthropologist in Nigeria. The Nigerian Field, 60, pp.29.
