Context (Amendments / updates)
There has been some confusion over the objects numbered Z 13360. The Accession Register notes "Straw fan" but this has been crossed out and replaced with "(carved calabash)". The 1st Thomas Collection Catalogue notes for 2044 a "Calabash", and for 2044 "Basket (gogulu)". There is also a black stick, with 2 carved ridges around the top, marked with Z 13360. I have therefore made the stick Z 13360/Record 2 [object is now TEMP.01354].
