Description

Stick zither with a gourd resonator. It has a long wooden neck, with protrusions out to the sides at one end, and two forked protrusions at the other end with a feather quill wrapped round. Three strings made from plant fibre run the full length of the neck, tied on at both ends. A resonator made from half a gourd is tied to the neck with a strip of cloth; the gourd is cracked in several places and has original repairs.
