Lent to the Exhibition 'Origins of the Afro Comb: 6000 years of Culture, Politics and Identity' at the Fitzwilliam Museum 1 July- 3 November 2013 on 21/11/2011. Comb may not have been included in the exhibition.
A contemporary art installation, 'My hair: black hair culture, style and politics', was also held in the South lecture Room at MAA, 2 July- 28 September 2013.

Description (Physical description)
Oyiya or comb carved from wood with six tapering prongs. Handle with zigzag edges, protrusions in the upper corners and an upside down triangle at the top; possible red pigment. One prong broken and missing.
