Description
Rectangular woven tie-tie or agba wooden basket. The basket body is of woven wooden strands secured by intricately tied fibre to form two framed longitudinal sides connected by two lower transverse sides, fixed upon a solid wood base. Described in Collector's label as a basket for men to use to carry objects such as yams as well as to be 'hung on wall of house with offering for juju'. 19 fragments detached but present.
