Description

Spear with a wooden shaft and metal spearhead. The spearhead has a split socket, and is attached to the shaft with a metal rivet. The blade is large and angular with a midrib; the edges of the blade are discoloured. Midway down, the shaft is bound in strips of coiled hide. Below the socket and at the terminal the shaft is bound in coiled metal. The shaft is decorated with small grooves, and flares slightly at the terminal.
