This object was found incorrectly marked AR 1905.816. Another Lyre was also found marked with AR 1905.861 and with an early 20th century label adhered reading E 1904.312. It was therefore decided that the other Lyre is E 1904.312, and the decision was made to temp this object.

Description (Physical description)
Lyre with a bowl shaped resonator covered in lizard skin and hide, a broadly triangular wooden frame, along with eight sinew or fibre twisted strings. There is evidence of damage and possible historic repair.
