Description
Jejo. A zither, with two strings and a bowl-shaped resonator made from half a gourd. The neck is made from wood, and has projections from the side at one end, decorated with a burned linear design. The two fibre strings are each connected to a tuning peg at the top, then tied to the other end of the neck where it splits into a 'V' shaped terminal; one of the strings has snapped. One side of the terminal has some material tied round it, quite possibly the quill from a feather. This terminal is tied onto the resonator with fibre. The resonator has a crack in the rim with an original repair; fibre has been used to stitch up the crack.
