R. Hand: 'Made from a recycled metal can of Líquido de frenos (brake fluid). Fibre wick sticks out through metal screw cap'.

Description (Physical description)
Kerosene lamp, made from a repurposed old tin can. The can is white and has 'Liga para Frenos' written on it. The fibre wick protrudes from the top through a hole in the can's red metal screw cap.

Context (Amendments / updates)
Cultural group previously noted 'Panare Indians; E'riepa Indians' presumably based on information on catalogue card 1982.807, and the mis-transcription of 'E'ñepa' as 'E'riepa'.
This has been updated to 'E'ñepa [Panare]' to reflect the provenance of' Panare' given on the individual catalogue cards and the contemporary preferred terminology.
