Context (CMS Context)
Note about the series of baskets accessioned under 1918.213.31: 18 baskets + 1 harness were found with the number 1918.213.31. Only 10 (A, B, C, D, G, H, J, L, M, and N) had a specific letter attached to them. K is not a basket but a harness: it is unknown which basket this harness originally belonged to. In order to distinguish between the remaining 8 baskets, letters remaining from the A-Q sequence was attributed to the un-lettered baskets. These are NOT the original letters. Two additional letter (R and S) were created to accommodate the two remaining baskets that did not fit in the lettered sequence.
