[added in pencil:] 'OX 126 H'. [in pencil in the bottom left corner:] '11/67'. [stamped in blue ink in the bottom right corner:] 'SHOW CASE NUMBER 11'. A small round red sticker pasted to the front of the card.

Very heavy club of dark wood, bowai. The wood has been blackened (soot?) Flared convex head. The shaft is circular in section and flares towards the butt. Convex butt. A cord of 3-ply plaited coir is attached around the handle and terminates in a rectangular knot with side projections of coir, reminiscent of the cords attached to Fijian shell horns (davui).
