Description (CMS Description)
Necklace (sisi) formed of 25 whale teeth, pierced at the top and strung on a cord of 3-ply plaited coir. An additional thick thread of metal has been inserted through the holes. Two of the teeth are provided with extra holes at the top (from the left, no 5 and 11). They are cream coloured at the front and back. 'Z. 2763' and '1884.M41.' inscribed in black ink on the last tooth from the left.
