Description (CMS Description)
Necklace (sisi) formed of 11 small whale teeth, pierced at the top and strung on a cord of 4-ply plaited coir. The cord is knotted in between the teeth. The cord is knotted at both ends. All teeth are a light cream colour at the front, except one with a much greyer and scratched surface. At the back, the teeth are scratched and most of them are of a light yellow colour with darker and greyer areas. '1923.H133.' and 'Z.2759' inscribed in black ink on the first tooth from the right.
