There has been some confusion over the early D 1974 numbers. There were 2 objects numbered D 1974.8, a pipestem and the club from the current record. There is a note in the Accession Register regarding 1974.3-11: "This should be a deposit, D 1974.1-9. Transferred to D.Register 21/11/1974". The pipestem is therefore D 1974.6, and the club, D 1974.8.

Description (Physical description)
Wooden club with irregular cylindrical handle. At the top of the shaft is an oval shaped head with a ridge along the middle. Long cracks across the club.
