Context (Amendments / updates)
This object was collected by Dr. Hugh Scott on Tuesday 11th January 1949. A very similar clay pot (1961.2) was also collected By Dr. Scott on this day and has the same label stating it was 'bought in market'. Z 16831 has a note on the label stating 'Duplicate. Not entered.' It is likely that the decision was taken not to accession this object, but at a later date it was given a Z number and entered into the Z Register instead.
