A letter in the MAA archives from Evans-Prichard to Clarke, dated 04/04/1936 includes this passage "Here is a present of some silver ear-picks from Goré in Western Abyssinia. I meant to get them when I was there this year but something prevented it so I got Erskine the British Council there to send me a couple for your collection."
