Description
A chief's lion's mane headdress, worn on ceremonial occasions. Made from a rectangular strip of white hide, backed with green fabric and edged with purple leather. The front is bordered with a grey metal chain along the top, and double row of brass metal chain along the bottom. Bottom trimmed with dangly brass cones. Ties of hid attached at both ends. Contemporary repair in the middle of the hide.
