Square piece of barkcloth. Natural colour. Light, red-brown tinge on two edges. Several layers felted together. Similar water or "grain" (beater) parallel mark to no 6 in Shaw-Cook tapa book (which is called part of mourning dress clothing), but not quite as soft. Good/fair condition.
