Description
Domed helmet of woven brown cane fibre, with horizontal bands of dyed red cane fibre around base and a large plume of dyed red goat's hair at top. Two long strips of ornately plaited cane fibre crisscross over the top of the helmet (beneath the plume) forming extensions at the back of the hat and at each side of the face. Loops are formed at the bottom of each strip. To these straps are attached (with cane fibre) mottled brown and white feathers, boar's tusks, and sections of the jaws and teeth of leopards, tigers, and boars.

Conical woven cane hat with red goat's hair plume. Band composed of strips of red dyed cane around bottom. Over the hat are two long straps of plaited basketry to which are attached boars tusks, feathers and sections of boar's, tiger's, and leopard's jaws. Konyak Naga.
