Tapering drum. Wooden body with tympanum at either end, tightened by numerous red leather thongs, with leather strap.

Description (Physical description)
Khel. Cylindrical drum, tapering towards one end. The body is made of wood, and the skins at both ends are of hide. There are red hide strips tightly secured at both ends, running long the length of the drum all around its body. There is a textile strap on one side.
