Description

Irregular piece of fabric used for dressmaking, possibly a fragmentary sari. Rough rectangle of dark red woven silk with wide borders of geometric patterns in gold thread; remnants of floral motifs in pink, red, orange and green on a dark blue background with gold highlights; one edge is curved and at the opposite edge there are borders extending from either side.
