Description
Rectangular piece of block printed textile, possibly a bedspread. Made from four panels of woven red cotton, sewn together before printing; printed with two main rectangular panels of repeating geometric floral motifs in white, black, red and yellow, surrounded by floral borders and rows of elephants with riders; additional strip of orange fabric added along one long edge, embroidered with yellow silk motifs. Contemporary repairs consisting of patches on the back in the same colour of orange fabric.
