Description (CMS Description)
Earplug carved from whale tooth shaped like a cotton reel. Each end is carved into a globular oval shape with a flat polished surface. One end is larger than the other; the smaller end has a shape scratched into the surface that looks like an inverted V with a line drawn horizontally across the top with the number ‘2’ scratched next to it. The smaller end also has some cracking around the edge. '1923.H112.' and 'Z-2718 C' inscribed on the object in black ink.
