Description (CMS Description)
Headrest of dark wood. The bar is circular in section (62.2 cm long x 4.5 cm diameter), flaring slightly at both ends. At each end of the bar, a wooden leg provided with two feet is fitted to the holes pierced underneath the bar (invisible), with a lashing of 3-ply plaited coir and a wooden plug. The legs are arched and the feet are flat and circular. The headrest is sturdy but the lashing is quite loose, making the legs dangle from the object. Very large longitudinal crack running underneath the bar. at one end, one leg is cracked at the 'ankle' and both feet of the pair have been broken. All broken parts have been glued back.
