Description (CMS Description)
Spurred club of dark wood, gata. The head is curved and provided with a chipped small lip (tebetebe). The underside of the head is very roughly carved to resemble the bark of a tree. Three deep notches (commemorative marks?) on the side of the head. The spur is rounded. A small rounded ridge (teretere) is carved at the junction between the head and the spur. The handle is circular in section, very polished and presents several deep cracks. Pommel butt (chipped).
