Large and heavy club of dark wood (casuarina, nokonoko), totokia ('pineapple' club). The head is cylindrical (14 cm diameter) and carved with 6 rows of spikes (some chipped). From the centre of the head projects a waisted beak (about 10.5 cm long). The base of the beak is carved with tavatava pattern in very low relief. The shaft is curved at the top and circular in section. The entire shaft is carved with tavatava patterns in low relief. Convex discoidal pommel, heavily chipped (some of the chipping is recent).
