Description (CMS Description)
Rectangular mat of soft sedge (Kuta), Elaeocharis plantaginea, Cyperaceae. Strips about 0.5 cm wide. Some sedge fibres have been dyed black and woven into the mat to create a pattern of 2 x two black longitudinal lines enclosing small diagonal lines. The long edges are decorated with a fringe of sedge fibre.
