On the back of the card [in blue pen:] 'A= 87" x 49 1/2", 225 cm x 126 cm; B= 95" x 51" 242 cm x 131 cm; C= 80" x 45"; 201 cm x 114 cm; D= 75" x 48", 191 cm x 122 cm'.

Description (CMS Description)
Rectangular mat of pandanus leaf strips in natural colour and dyed black, fringed with wool. The strips of pandanus are about 1 cm wide. The main pattern in enclosed into a rectangle formed of black and white diagonal lines and is formed of four black and white chevrons. The edges of the mats are decorated with a border formed of black and white diagonal lines and fringed with wool. Double strands of blue, green and orange wool have been woven diagonally into the edges and long fringes of red wool projects outwards. Previous folding marks still visible on the object. Very flexible and very good condition
