[stamped in black ink:] 'CUMAA -2 JUN 1988 TRANSCRIBED'. A small round red sticker pasted to the front of the card. At the back of the card [in black pen:] 'spread on floor of house, the food is placed in baskets or on banana leaves on the mat, those sharing the meal sit round the edges, the mat taking the place of a table. G.K.R. [added in blue pen:] 'ROLLED'.

Description (CMS Description)
Rectangular mat of pandanus leaf strips. The strips are about 1.2cm wide. A few strips have been dyed black and introduced into the weave to create two bands of 3 black diamonds. Along the edges, the strips have been folded over and reintroduced on the other side. Black pattern is visible on both sides.
