Description (Physical description)
One broken wooden peg (1977.285.2) and two envelopes with additional string, bridges and plectrums found in box under this number. The bridge of this type of instrument is never fixed to the box and has been inserted in the photograph to show how the instrument would be used when played. It was replaced in the envelope after photography. Wooden pegs finished with bone finials.
A plastic bag with a bridge, string and part of the peg for 1977.285 was subsequently found in Picken box 41. Replaced in box 42 with the corresponding object.
