Description

Fish hook - Catalogue card: 'Fish-hook and line. The barb is lashed on separately to the long shell shank. A tuft of feathers decorates the lower part of the hook and probably was intended as an added attraction to fish. No provenance given but very similar to the Samoan and other Polynesian hooks. See card 51.475'
