Description

Ornament - Card 1: 'Double plume of cassowary feathers each attached to strip of rattan bent at an acute angle. It labelled kadik tang so presumably was worn in the armgaurd kadis (tang is probably a local variant for [?tani] - "branch"), in which case the plumes would be pendant instead of erect the usual method. It might also be worn behind inserted under a belt.'
Card 2: 'Double plume of cassowary feathers tied to piece of coconut leaf stem. This is bent double as if plumes were intended to be pendant.'
Stuck in armguard or in back of belt for dancing.
