Card reads: " Z no. issued 13 2 1986" Specimen of alater stage of making a kris. A second pile is made consisting of the (2) scrolls of damask called ' Daun ruing' or ' Ruing' leaves, arranged on either side of a central layer and between two outside layers of which (2) latter nothing is left at the end of the process... The Kris blade is made from 5 bands of iron and steel welded together and hammered into shape. The central band of this is of steel and will form the edge. Either side of this is placed two bands of Besi Pamor, aniron bar bent into a scroll like shape. It is then covered with two bands of mild steel.; Collected by: Skeat.W.W
