The dimensions of the box are given as 20" x 24" x 13" . It is front opening. The card says this is Skeat I: 844. However, no. 844 in Skeat' s Printed Catalogue I refers to a model of a garden house. If this is a spirit house it is probably one ofSkeat I: 845-847. The card also reads: " Spirit houses... with tree I 66 B...I 66 F" . The card gives three other numbers: " 18 W" , " 103" , and " 13" these may belong to an obsolete system of classification; in any case, their significance is not clear. This item needs to be rechecked against the Printed Catalogue; Collected by: Skeat.W.W in 1896; 1897
