The dimensions of the box are 16.5" x 5.5" x 5.75" . It is front opening. The box number 37 D belongs to an old system of classification, now probably outmoded. The card also refers to ' 30 B' , which may also be a box number of the old type. The card refers to Skeat I: 464, which according to the Printed Catalogue I is a model of boat building showing " how a dug-out (in course of construction) is increased in beam by the application of boiling water" .
