Context (Amendments / updates)
The previous description says both coconut shell and wooden to describe the material of the spoon. However, upon cataloguing, it was discovered that the spoon is made of coconut shell, no wooden parts.

Description (Physical description)
Smooth coconut shell spoon, with dark marbled brown colouring, from Malaysia. The top of the handle is carved in a symmetrical spade-like shape. The accession number is directly written on the inside of the spoon on the ladle. The original accession number "345" for the Skeat Collection has been written on a white slip of paper and stuck to the back of the spoon. A "5M" sticker is also stuck on the back of the spoon.
