Description (Physical description)
Collingwood and Wright: 'Dedication slab. The text is contained in an octagonal border, in which opposite segments correspond in a pattern of leaves, flowers, or fruit. The border is enclosed by a square frame supported on either side by a pelta. Below each pelta is a reef-knot (nodus Herculeus), and above it a bearded mask, of which the left-hand one is a three-headed deity (see Lambrechts 'Etude ... celtiques, 37, 150). On the left in an arcade is Victory on a globe, holding in her right hand a wreath, in her left a palm-branch. In a panel beneath her feet a crane moves left towards an object which Camden thought was a fish. On the right in a rounded niche stands Mars in panoply. In a panel beneath his feet a goose, his sacred bird, moves to the right towards a two-handled cup.'
