The original envelope reads 'ARBURY RD. obv. (IMP> CAES. NERVA) TRAI AN. AUG. GERM. (P.M. TRP.) Rev. Mars helmeted advancing right holding transverse spear in R. hand and trophy over l. shoulder. S. C. (TR POT COS iiii P.P.) A.D. 101-102. Found in a piece of plaster in burnt layer west of Roman house.'.

A large and heavy Roman coin that is fairly worn. On the obverse id the heard of Dupondius of Trajan and on the reverse is a standing Mars. The coin weighs 12.5g.
