Context (Amendments / updates)
There has historically been considerable confusion between D 1951.86, D 1951.87 and D 1953.74. Only D 1951.86 and D 1953.74 are shown in Lamb 1936 Pl XIV (.1 and .2 respectively), leading to a misunderstanding that there were only two vessels in total. All three vessels, however, are shown in Bucholz 2010 in Abb.188, 148 and 142 respectively. A Nicholson Museum label was found inside D 1951.87, but this is now understood to belong to D 1953.74 due to the Tomb number and Lamb Plate reference given.
